Shipping Information
Live Organisms
Live organisms must be either picked up or shipped Overnight. Live organisms can only be shipped within Minnesota and to Wisconsin. We are unable to ship to other States at this time.
Picking Up Live Organisms
Orders for monarch eggs and larvae can be picked up from our lab on the St. Paul campus of the U of M beginning August 22 through September 12, 2011.
Please specify the following information in the Shopping Cart's “Order Notes” or in the “Pick Up / Delivery Notes” for each product:
- Date and Time you will pickup the order (Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm)
- Who will be picking up the order (if not you)
Shipping Live Organisms
Orders for monarch eggs and larvae will be available for shipping from our lab beginning August 22 through September 12, 2011.
Live organisms need daily care and will not survive the long delay of standard mail. Therefore we send all live organisms via overnight Fed Ex.
Please specify the following information in the Shopping Cart's “Order Notes” or in the “Pick Up / Delivery Notes” for each product:
- Date you wish to RECEIVE the order via Overnight shipping (Tuesday through Friday dates only -- except no shipments on the Tuesday after Labor Day)
Please make sure someone is available to receive the package when it is delivered.
Live organisms and other materials MUST be shipped separately (or picked up). Please do NOT order Live organisms and other materials on the same online order. If you wish to order both live organisms and other materials, please place two separate orders.
If you are ordering monarchs that are being shipped to multiple schools, we encourage you to instead ship all monarchs to one location. If this is not possible, please contact us by phone or e-mail to place your order.
Other Materials
Other materials (not Live Organisms) will be shipped via UPS Ground or US Mail, depending on the size and weight of the package.
