Objectives
This website was developed by scientists and educators at the University of Minnesota to achieve the following goals:
- Provide a solid background for understanding the ecology, behavior, and evolution of monarch butterflies
- Report the results of recent scientific discoveries addressing monarch biology
- Provide an interactive forum for communication between students, teachers, and scientists
- Display recent projects of high school and middle school students participating in monarch butterfly research
- Link sites addressing research, education, and outreach relating to monarch butterflies
