Question:
I have come across a monarch butterfly with wrinkled wings. How can I help this butterfly? She can't fly.

Answer:
You are right, this butterfly will not be able to fly or survive in the wild. If you would like to keep her as a pet you can feed her by putting a sponge soaked with 20% honey solution (two parts honey to eight parts water) in a dish in her cage. If she does not find this on her own, place her on the sponge and eventually you should see her unroll her tongue-like proboscis to drink! Refresh the honey water every day and this should keep her alive for the rest of her natural life.
